Following in my father’s footsteps, I first picked up a camera in 1971 when I was fourteen. Photography gives me an excuse to slow down, pay attention, and capture the people, places, and moments that might otherwise slip by. Check out my work samples here.

I've always been interested in story telling which began when I was young and could identify with outsiders like Astro Boy, Peter Parker and yes, Mr. Spock. Having attended the Leonard Nimoy School of Directing, my father was emphatic that great filmmaking begins “on the page” with a great story followed by truthful performances all augmented by the many elements that go into visual storytelling. Filmmaking is also a collaborative art form and I’ve been lucky to have worked in the television industry with so many talented people dedicated to the simple objective of telling good stories. Writing helps me make sense of things - or at least try to. I've written about family, creativity, grief, reinvention, recovery and the occasional curveballs we all experience during out time on this planet.
